Step 2: We pick you up
Your instructor arrives at your door, or at school, work or the test centre, in the dual-control car.
Step 3: You drive
Every lesson has a plan and ends with what went well and what to practise next. When you are close, you get a straight answer on whether you are ready to sit your test.
What it costs
Pay on the day by cash, bank transfer or card, or by card online when you book. Nothing up front unless you choose to. Full details.

A 60-minute practice run of the restricted or full test on a real test route, with written feedback on what to fix.
Free reschedule or cancellation up to 24 hours before your lesson. Inside 24 hours the lesson is charged in full. Illness and bad weather are handled case by case.

Meet Evgeniya
Evgeniya is an NZTA I-endorsed driving instructor. She stays calm when a learner isn’t, explains the why behind each instruction, and gives a straight answer on when you’re ready to sit your test.
She teaches in English, and slows down and rephrases when English isn’t your first language.

Questions before you book
I'm nervous. Is that a problem?
No, and you won't be the first. First lessons start on quiet residential streets in a dual-control car, and the pace is set by you, not a script. Mention what worries you in the booking notes and the first lesson is planned around it.
How do licence stages work in New Zealand?
Three stages. You start on a learner licence after passing the theory test and must drive with a supervisor. After at least six months you can sit the restricted practical test and drive alone with conditions. Under 25, you sit the full test after 18 months on a restricted licence, or 12 with an approved advanced driving course; 25 or over, after six months, or three with the course. From 25 January 2027 the rules change: the full licence test goes (a clean spell on a restricted licence becomes a full licence), a hazard perception test joins the restricted test, and under-25s hold a learner licence for 12 months. Lessons help at each stage.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on where you're starting from, how often you practise between lessons and which test you're preparing for. You get a straight estimate at the end of your first lesson, once your instructor has seen you drive.
Do you pick me up?
Yes. Every lesson starts and ends at your door, or at school, work or the test centre if that suits better. Pickup and drop-off are free in every suburb we serve across South, East, Central and West Auckland. No surcharge.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free reschedule or cancellation up to 24 hours before your lesson. Inside 24 hours the lesson is charged in full. Illness and bad weather are handled case by case. If we have to cancel, you're never charged.
